I have a pair of pileateds here. they nest somewhere nearby but haven't found the nest yet. Always calling to each other, "laughing", and drilling. love 'em. |

Bev I took pics of the wall & brought the cam downstairs to show to management. As my luck would have it the head honcho was there. he said no promices for today but tomorrow for sure. Arie will hit the cieling when he comes home |

There was a Pileated in TX, not far from where I lived that always nested in a utility pole. It was on a very busy corner with lots of traffic. He'd drill out a huge hole, dump the shavings on the ground and basically tie up traffic with people watching him. The utility company kept filling in the holes and next year he'd make another one. They finally covered the whole pole with metal sheeting. |

Brian you should listen to some of the last seasons bear cubs I have. They sound so different from these 2 new ones,Then they sounded more like human babies at times.Can't wait till the eyes open & they start trying to escape from under.Bath time is always a good laugh |
