2/4/12 9:21 am 		Good morning! Red-shouldered hawk calling now. Still cloudy here but at least no rain. Monica, thank you for the birthday wishes. You are in my prayers now too. We don't complain here so much as share what's happening, illnesses included. It really is like a big family for which I'm very grateful! Pat, I've seen strips of metal or plastic that have pointy things on them to discourage birds from landing on it. Have no idea what it's called or where you get it but maybe you could google it.

1/31/12 5:19 pm 		there is a tick called the winter tick that kills moose here in the north. it also can affect deer? not sure if it is that far south but i have seen moose that hve rubbed half of their hide off trying to get rid of them...they are not known to kill deer but they do kill moose for some reason...

He can still write songs and music even in the hospital. He is using a program called Dargon speak, or learning to use it. It is a wonderul world that we live in now folks, that people who can not move from the neck down can come back! Thank you God for making this possible.

GoogleEarth Street view is fascinating to explore in the other countries around the world. You "drive" down the roads and can pan around and look at all the gorgeous scenery. I'm in the Italian Alps right now! So much more to explore!
